Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how ExtensionsFox ("ExtensionsFox," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the GMB Audit Tool Chrome extension and our related websites (including extensionsfox.com and the product site for GMB Audit Tool) (collectively, the "Services").
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact us at help@extensionsfox.com.
1. About GMB Audit Tool
GMB Audit Tool is a browser extension that helps you audit Google Business Profiles on Google Maps, Google Search, and Local Finder (for example Basic Audit, Website Audit, Review Audit, Post Audit, and Local Scan). The marketing website does not run audits for you; audits run in your browser after you install the extension.
2. Chrome Extension Data Practices
This section describes how the GMB Audit Tool extension handles data when you use it on Google pages and, when needed, on a business website you choose to scan.
- Listing and page content. When you run an audit, the extension reads business profile information and related page content available in your browser (such as name, address, phone, categories, reviews, posts, or competitor listings) to build the report you view in the dashboard.
- Website Audit. If you run Website Audit, the extension may request temporary permission to open and read the public business website associated with the listing so it can compare on-page signals to the Google Business Profile.
- Local processing. Audit content is processed locally in your browser to generate reports. We do not upload Google Business Profile report contents to ExtensionsFox servers for analysis.
- Local storage. The extension may store settings, saved reports, and subscription or license status locally in the browser (for example via Chrome extension storage) so the product can function for you.
- No sale of audit data. We do not sell, rent, or share your audit report contents with third parties for advertising.
3. Information We Collect (Website, Billing & Support)
Separate from local audits, we may collect limited information when you use our websites or contact us:
- Communications. If you email us for support, billing, or troubleshooting, we receive the information you include (such as your email address and message content) so we can respond.
- Payment and subscription. If you purchase or subscribe, payment details are handled by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems; we may retain subscriber or order-related information needed to provide the Service (for example email, plan status, and transaction references available through the processor).
- Website technical data. Like most websites, our servers or hosting providers may automatically receive basic request data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to operate, secure, and improve the website.
4. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the GMB Audit Tool extension and website
- Process purchases and manage subscriptions or licenses
- Respond to support requests and send transactional notices related to your purchase or the Service
- Improve reliability, security, and performance of the Services
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Service
We do not use your Google Business Profile audit reports for advertising, training third-party AI models, or other purposes beyond generating the report you request on your device.
5. How We Share Information
We may share information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers. Vendors who help us operate the Services (such as payment processing, hosting, or email delivery), under obligations to use the information only to provide services to us.
- Legal requirements. When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of ExtensionsFox, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of personal information consistent with this Policy.
Audit content processed by the extension remains on your device unless you choose to share a report yourself.
6. Data Retention & Your Choices
- Local extension data. You can clear extension storage or uninstall GMB Audit Tool at any time through your browser settings. Uninstalling stops further local processing by the extension.
- Reports. Saved reports are stored locally in the extension storage on your device; we do not host those reports on ExtensionsFox servers.
- Support and billing records. We retain support correspondence and subscription records only as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal or accounting requirements, or resolve disputes.
- Requests. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you (for example support or billing records), email help@extensionsfox.com.
7. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
